What is rosé wine? You should probably brush up on this delicious type of wine.

What is rosé? Is it mixing red and white wines? Does it mean you made white wine on the skins? Perhaps some other fruit has given the color? Actually, none of the above.  While the earliest rosés were probably watered down red wine thousands of years ago, today we generally use rosé to mean a…

The women of wine (plus some women-made wines you need to try)

Don’t buy into the myth: Women have been an instrumental part of winemaking since its inception. There’s a theory that women may have been the ones to discover wine — being the gatherers in a hunter-gatherer society — but it’s more than that. FAQs

Where do you host the events?

We host events at a company’s office or at a local bar or restaurant (as available). At this time, we do not host events at our own space.

Do you host in-person events outside of NYC?

Possibly. It depends on the location and your travel budget. We’re happy to work with you to get us there or try to connect you with a local wine expert.

Can you host a class over Zoom?

Yes, but we encourage small groups to gather together since multiple wines will be sampled. Otherwise, you have to finish the bottle yourself (maybe not a bad thing…).

Do I need to know anything about wine beforehand?

Absolutely not! We can tailor events to a range of knowledge levels including wine novices. Our courses are designed to flexibly fit your team, including their wine background and preferences.

What if my group already knows a lot about wine?

All of the classes are designed to educate beyond the traditional 101 course and to be engaging for various levels of knowledge.

Who teaches the courses?

Each course is led by a wine expert with at least 2 years of experience.

Do I need to bring anything?

Nope. Just yourself. All materials will be provided, including a place to jot down tasting notes and all the wines we plan to serve.

Will you ask me to identify flavors in each wine?

Only if you want to. We often use the term “sample” instead of “taste.” Attendees are not expected to identify cassis, lavender, or any other obscure notes. We encourage people to discuss what they like and dislike about a wine instead of attempting to identify a flavor profile.

Do you have an option for sober people?

Yes! We can do an entire class of NA wine and other offerings or bring non-alcoholic options to our standard classes for non-drinking attendees.
